Job Description

We are excited to be growing our South Wales team here at Bouygues UK! As a result, we have an exciting opportunity available for a Senior Site Manager (or Project Manager) to join our team, working on a long-term data centre project in Newport.  

We have a couple of opportunities available. One for someone to manage the civils and groundworks packages, the other to manage the envelope. 

Job Purpose & Scope:

To ensure effective and efficient production within set timescales, including quality and safety management.

Accountabilities & Key Tasks:

  • Assist the Project Lead in the delivery of the Project.
  • Initiate per-start setup procedures including ordering site set-up, develop site wide RAMS and traffic plans, SWMP etc.
  • Input into subcontract procurement including selection per-order processing and appointment.
  • To manage the daily activities of subcontractors, in respect Of Health and Safety, Quality and programme.
  • To manage the costs associated with the works, and any variations should they arise in liaison with the Site Quantity Surveyors.
  • Lead weekly progress meetings and producing the required timeline of works / action points.
  • Responsible for quality control including the development and monitoring of quality plans.
  • Liaison with the client and representatives on a daily basis.
  • Subcontractor management to ensure projects are delivered on time and compliant.
  • Assist with procurement of subcontractors for post completion works.
  • Control of subcontractors and directly employed labour.
  • Liaison with the Client and their agents.
  • Review of ongoing works with a view to highlight potential defects.
  • Advising production teams on ‘lessons learnt’.
  • Assist with the preparation of O&M’s.
  • Lead daily Start Up meetings.
  • Manage the snagging/defects process.
