Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Health, Safety & Environment (HS&E) Business Partner (Berkshire region) to join our College Health, Safety & Environment (HS&E) Team.

In this role you will have an overview of the HS&E function working closely with colleagues within the HS&E Team as well as managers and staff within the wider college group. This role will champion HS&E awareness as well as monitoring all HS&E related activities including risk assessments, training, inspections and audits. As well as looking at the campus physical safety you will also be working closely with contractors to ensure all projects are conducted safely.

This role will also be required to lead on the identification and delivery of H&S and First Aid training to staff across the college.

What do you need to be successful in this role?

You will be an accomplished health and safety professional with extensive experience, preferably within an Education environment. You will hold a health and safety qualification at level 3, such as a NEBOSH certificate or equivalent, and possess sound knowledge of relevant health and safety and food safety legislation and best practice.

You will be an experienced H&S and First Aid trainer with a teaching related qualification such as PTLLS or L3 Award in Education and Training or higher.

With experience of working in a complex environment, across a large and diverse workforce, you will be exceptionally organised with a high-level of attention to detail. You will naturally possess excellent inter-personal skills, including reporting skills, be a team player and have an ability to consult and positively engage with key stakeholders across the organisation.
