As our Health, Safety and Security Manager your role will be pivotal in providing strategic advice, support and guidance on all health, safety and security matters relating to Cafcass employees and visitors.
This will include matters pertaining to legal compliance for personal and building safety in accordance with current health and safety legislation, as well as Cafcass organisational strategic priorities. You will work closely with senior leaders to ensure statutory duties and obligations are met and drive continuous improvement in health, safety and security practices, policies and procedures across all areas of Cafcass.
This is a national role, so travel to our offices across England will be required.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Developing and implementing health, safety and security processes and procedures in line with health and safety legislation.
- Supporting our leaders and employees in accident and incident management, fire safety provisions, emergency management and responding to health and safety queries.
- Supervising our team of Health and Safety Officers and providing expert advice to senior leaders to shape and support the strategic priorities of the organisation.
- Maintaining a visible profile within Cafcass to support and embed a strong culture of safety and compliance.
Who we’re looking for
We are seeking a passionate and delivery-focused professional with:
- NEBOSH or NVQ Level 5 qualification.
- Specialist security qualification such as NPSA or a willingness to work towards them.
- Previous experience in a public sector organisation would be advantageous.
- Excellent presentation skills and the ability to influence at all levels.

Contractually, you can be based in any Cafcass office.
