We have been selected as a recruitment partner for a global construction company to help them identify and appoint an experienced Health & Safety Manager to work on the UK's largest construction project - Hinkley Point.
Summary of the role:
Reporting to the Project Director you will be responsible for management of the project covering health, safety and the environment issues.
You must ensure compliance with the UK/EU Legislation, ACOP`s and latest guidance relating to safety, health and the environment.
Supporting the project team in creating, updating and implementing the construction phase health and safety plan including all supporting document in relation to fire, traffic, OH etc.
Supporting the project team in creating, updating and implementing the Project Environmental Management Plan including the Site Waste Management plan.
Liaise with local authority and central government, statutory enforcement agencies.
Ensure COSHH assessments for all hazardous substances brought onto site are maintained as part of the COSHH stock inventory.
To ensure all staff and sub contractors have taken appropriate inductions in line with the Principal contractor and site requirements.
- Previous experience within the construction industry.
- NEBOSH National Diploma level
- Environmental Training - Minimum SEATS
- OHSAS 18001 familiarisation
- Min 3-5 years' experience of HSE Management for Tier 1 contractors within a regulated and process driven environment
