Job Description

Bouygues UK have an exciting opportunity for an External Facades Site Manager who is looking to progress our work on our Flagship Regeneration Project on Tustin Estate based in Southeast London (Old Kent Road,SE15). You will be responsible for the delivery primarily of the external aspects of the build. The dimensions of one of the sites are as follows: 12-storey build comprising of 73 new homes of which include multiple duplex apartments. Specific focus on external build skills, Brickwork/ Scaffold / SFS / Brickwork / Windows etc focusing on the facade of the building

Job Purpose and Scope:

You will manage the daily activities of the appointed subcontractors, in respect of Health and Safety, Quality and Programme. You will also manage the costs associated with the works and any variations, should they arise. Lead weekly progress meetings and produce the required timeline of works / action points. Sub-Contractor management to ensure projects are delivered on time and compliant.

Essential

  • Experience working with a main construction residential contractor or large subcontractor
  • Proven recent experience i.e. (Scaffold / SFS / Brickwork / Windows)
  • Knowledge of UK building regulations including UK H&S construction laws and their application
  • Ability to manage Assistant Site Managers and subcontractors
  • SMSTS, CSCS  Black Card (white card also acceptable in some cases) - must be current
  • Stress Management
  • High levels of quality standards
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks at once
  • Demonstrates strong attention to detail and produces accurate work

Accountabilities and key tasks:

  • Assist the Production Lead in the delivery of the Project
  • Assist with procurement of Sub-Contractors
  • Control of Sub-Contractors and directly employed labour
  • Liaison with the Client and their agents
  • Review of ongoing works with a view to highlight potential defects
  • Advising production teams on ‘lessons learnt’
  • Assist with the preparation of O&M’s
  • Lead daily Start Up meetings
  • Run Black Hat meetings
  • Manage the snagging/defects process
